Harley-Davidson Powerhouse Bike
Harley-Davidson launched its most expensive bike, the CVO Road Glide RR, in India, with a starting price of approximately ₹
91 lakh. Harley claims this is their most powerful street-legal motorcycle to date. It is powered by a 2147cc V-Twin engine, producing 153 horsepower at 5,750 RPM.
The bike is inspired by the King of the Baggers race series, which features large touring motorcycles competing in high-speed races. It includes high-tech components such as a swingarm and triple tree made from 7075 aluminium for enhanced performance. Other notable features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Skyline OS, Apple CarPlay, and a 500-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system.
Ultraviolette Shockwave Electric Motorcycle
Ultraviolette launched India’s first dual-purpose electric motorcycle, the Shockwave, at a starting price of ₹1.75 lakh. The first 1,000 customers will benefit from a discounted price of ₹1.50 lakh. The Shockwave has an IDC range of 165 kilometres per charge and weighs 120 kg.
Equipped with an electric motor producing 14.5 horsepower and 505 Nm of peak torque, the bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 km/h. It features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels fitted with dual-purpose tyres. The motorcycle has a high handlebar and a rally-style seat, blending seamlessly with a narrow tail section. It is available in two colour options: Electric Yellow with Black and White with Red.
Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter
Ultraviolette unveiled its new electric scooter, the Tesseract, in India at a starting price of ₹1.45 lakh. The first 10,000 customers will receive a discount of ₹25,000, reducing the price to ₹1.20 lakh. The Tesseract features a 15 kW electric motor, producing 20.4 horsepower, enabling it to reach a top speed of 125 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
The scooter offers three battery options based on IDC testing requirements: a 3.5 kWh unit with a range of 162 km, a 5 kWh pack with a range of 220 km, and a 6 kWh variant with a range of 261 km. Only the 3.5 kWh model’s price has been announced so far. It supports fast charging, with the battery capable of reaching 80% capacity in under an hour. The Tesseract features a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with navigation and a customisable interface. It is available in four colours: Desert Sand, Solar White, Sonic Pink, and Stealth Black.
Volvo XC90 Facelift
Volvo launched the XC90 facelift in India at a starting price of ₹1.03 crore. This model is ₹2 lakh more expensive than its predecessor, which was priced at ₹1.01 crore. The facelifted XC90’s front end has been redesigned to resemble Volvo’s all-electric SUV, the EX90. It features a reworked bonnet with diagonal slats and compact ‘Thor’ hammer LED headlamps for improved visibility.
Inside, the 9-inch infotainment screen has been replaced with an 11.2-inch touchscreen system. The car also includes an air purifier with a PM 2.5 filter, memory seats that recall driver preferences, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera system. Safety features include front and rear parking sensors, multiple airbags, and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). According to Volvo, the XC90 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, with an electronic speed limiter capped at 180 km/h.
Toyota Hilux Black Edition
Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduced the Hilux Black Edition in India at a starting price of ₹37.90 lakh. The Black Edition stands out with its all-black exterior, including 18-inch black alloy wheels with customised hub caps, black fender garnish, black fuel lid garnish, and a black front radiator grille. Additional elements include black door handles, black door mouldings, and black outside rear-view mirror (ORVM) covers, giving the vehicle a unified and powerful appearance.
The Hilux Black Edition is powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, producing 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Its 4×4 drivetrain enhances its off-road capabilities. Built on Toyota’s Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform, the Hilux boasts a class-leading 700mm water-wading capacity.
