New Hypercar: Koenigsegg introduces Sadair’s Spear, a track-focused hypercar based on the Jesko. It combines increased power, reduced weight, and advanced aerodynamics. Fully road-legal across global markets, it sets a new standard for Koenigsegg’s performance evolution. Limited to 30 units, all were sold out instantly upon its private unveiling.

Personal Tribute: The name Sadair’s Spear honours Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko. It reflects Jesko’s favourite racehorse, ridden in his final 1976 race. A passionate equestrian, Jesko’s legacy inspired this car. The name embodies the hypercar’s uncompromising design for peak track performance.

Power Boost: Sadair’s Spear features a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. It delivers 1,300 horsepower on regular fuel and 1,625 horsepower on E85. Enhanced air intakes and engine calibration provide a 20hp increase on standard fuel and 25hp on E85, surpassing Jesko’s output.

Aerodynamic Edge: A double-blade active rear wing enhances downforce for superior cornering traction. Larger front canards, revised hood vents with a Gurney flap, and wheel arch louvres improve cooling and stability. The elongated rear design boosts aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds.

Weight Reduction: The hypercar sheds 35 kg compared to the Jesko Attack. Reduced sound insulation saves 2.6 kg, while advanced carbon fibre techniques cut 1.3 kg. Lightweight interior and mechanical components further contribute to the improved power-to-weight ratio, exceeding the iconic 1:1 benchmark.

Track-Ready Suspension: Sadair’s Spear features a bespoke suspension with lightweight springs and Koenigsegg-designed Triplex dampers. This setup ensures superior track handling. The Active Ride Height system enhances steering feedback, making the car agile and responsive during high-speed cornering.

Upgraded Brakes: Enhanced multi-layer carbon-ceramic brakes with improved pad materials provide exceptional stopping power. Wider, track-oriented tires paired with exclusive 7-spoke Aircore carbon fibre wheels ensure outstanding grip, tailored for both track and road performance.

Minimalist Interior: The cockpit includes a lightweight centre console and redesigned carbon fibre seats. Standard three-point seatbelts can be upgraded to optional 6-point racing harnesses. Gear changes are managed solely via steering wheel paddles, emphasising the car’s track-focused philosophy.

Advanced Features: Despite its track focus, Sadair’s Spear retains Koenigsegg’s hallmark comforts. It includes a steering-mounted SmartCluster display, USB connectivity, inductive phone charging, the Autoskin system, and birds-eye parking assist. These features balance performance with practical road usability.

Record-Breaking Performance: During testing at Gotland Ring, Sadair’s Spear broke the Jesko Attack’s lap record by 1.1 seconds. Priced at £3.8 million (approximately ₹40 crore), this hypercar blends raw power and refined engineering, solidifying Koenigsegg’s legacy in record-setting performance.
