The plant, developed with an investment of ₹50 crore, marks the company’s foray into electric vehicle (EV) battery production, manufacturing high-performance battery packs under the Range-X brand for two and three wheelers, the company said in a press note.
The newly operational facility has an annual production capacity of 60,000 battery packs and will produce both Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries.
According to the company, these battery solutions are customisable for various vehicle types to supply them to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) beyond its own brands.
With India’s EV sector projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.52%, reaching an estimated market value of $18.319 billion by 2029, the company expects strong demand for its batteries, particularly in the two-wheeler segment. Additionally, the plant is focused on the development of prismatic cells for three-wheelers.

With this venture, the company aims to expands its footprint in the EV and automotive component space while contributing to India’s transition towards sustainable mobility solutions.
