Auto Wrap this week: Citroen’s C3X to Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe, here’s what’s new

The auto industry is buzzing with new launches and updates this August. Citroen India introduced the C3X hatchback, while Mercedes-Benz launched the AMG CLE 53 Coupe.

Mahindra is set to reveal multiple electric SUV concepts, including the Vision T, Vision S, Vision SXT, and Vision X, on August 15.

Here are the latest vehicle launches and updates making waves this week.

Citroen C3X

Citroen India launched the updated version of the C3 hatchback called the C3X. It retains the same body as the existing C3; however, it now comes with cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear USB-C port, six airbags, speed-sensing door locks, and 360-degree camera setup. It is priced at 7.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra Vision T

It is an upcoming electric SUV set to be launched on August 15 during Mahindra’s Freedom NU event. It features a two-part grille with horizontal slats, a tailgate-mounted spare tyre, flared arches and vertical lighting elements for the tail lamps. The price has not yet been revealed.

Mahindra Vision S, Vision SXT, Vision X

Mahindra is also planning to unveil several other concept vehicles during its Freedom NU event on August 15. Vision S comes with inverted L-shaped headlights, sealed off front fascia, flared wheel arches, side-hinged door and bonnet scoops. It is likely to be based on the Scorpio N concept.

Vision SXT comes with a headlamp design, body-mounted ORVMs and a hood scoop.

Vision X is expected to have a full-width LED tail-lamp arrangement, sculpted tailgate and flared rear haunches. It looks quite similar to XEV 9e.

Yezdi Motorcycles Roadster 2025

Yezdi has launched its updated version of Roadster on August 12 at a price of 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike features curved fenders, a removable rear seat, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round LED headlight with a new cowl, and slim taillights. It is powered by the 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled Alpha 2 engine. It comes in five colour variants.

TVS Apache RTX 300

Expected to launch in August at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, TVS Apache RTX 300 is anticipated to offer a 300cc-liquid-cooled engine, twin LED headlamps, a muscular fuel tank, split-pillion grab rails connected to a luggage rack and a transparent windshield. It also stands on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel.

Mercedes AMG CLE 53 Coupe

Mercedes-Benz launched the AMG CLE 53 Coupe on August 12, which features an 11.9-inch portrait infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and three central AC vents. It offers a 3.0 litre twin-turbo straight-six paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, 64-colour ambient lighting and Burmester sound system. It was launched at 1.35 crore, ex-showroom.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor

Toyota has updated its Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, which now comes with six airbags, enhanced safety features across the entire variant lineup – E, S, S+, G, and V, a premium dual-tone cabin, and 60:40 split rear seats. It is powered by two efficient engine options – a 1.2L K-Series petrol and a spirited 1.0L turbo petrol. The price starts at 7.77 lacs (ex-showroom).
