Auto wrap this week: Honda City Sport, Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and more

The Indian automotive market has been abuzz in June 2025 with a wave of new launches, ranging from electric roadsters and high-performance V8s to rugged SUVs. While Honda has rolled out the new City Sport, several other models have recently hit the market or are set to arrive soon.

Honda City Sport

Honda has introduced the new City Sport, giving its popular mid-size sedan a sportier makeover. The limited-edition City Sport variant comes exclusively with a CVT gearbox. It represents a new grade in the City line-up and will be available in limited numbers.

Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge

The high-performance Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge is set to launch in India, following its global debut earlier this year. It features the same 102 kWh battery pack as the standard model. Signature design touches include the Spirit of Ecstasy emblem and the Pantheon grille finished in Polished Black, consistent with the brand’s Black Badge series.

2025 Mahindra Thar

Mahindra has made minor updates to the Thar SUV aimed at reducing production costs. The Thar LX variant has been spotted with steel spare wheels instead of alloys. Prices currently range from ₹11.50 lakh to ₹17.62 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the configuration.

Toyota Land Cruiser 300

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 now comes with a petrol-hybrid powertrain and updated design elements. It features a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine combined with a single-motor parallel hybrid system, and will soon launch in Australia. In India, the diesel-powered 3.3-litre V6 variant is priced at ₹2.31 crore, while the ZX and GR Sport trims begin at ₹2.41 crore.

Suzuki Jimny – 55th Anniversary Edition

The Suzuki Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition boasts a host of unique features over the standard model. These include air conditioning, heated seats, Bluetooth connectivity, automatic high beam control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and more. It is priced at approximately ₹28.73 lakh.

2025 Harley-Davidson Line-up

Hero MotoCorp has announced prices for the 2025 Harley-Davidson line-up in India. Ten models are currently available, with the X440 being the only one locally manufactured. The X440 starts at ₹2.4 lakh (ex-showroom), while the premium Road Glide tops the range at ₹42.3 lakh.

MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Ago

MV Agusta has unveiled its latest limited-edition motorcycle, the Superveloce 1000 Ago — a tribute to Giacomo Agostini, the most successful Grand Prix racer in history. Agostini boasts 10 Isle of Man TT wins, 18 Italian championships, 123 GP victories, and 15 world titles, all honoured in this special edition.
