According to Bajaj Auto, the term ‘GoGo’ draws from the connection drivers have with their vehicles and the global nickname for three-wheelers. The company sees Bajaj GoGo as a move toward sustainable mobility, reflecting reliability and efficient transit.
Samardeep Subandh, President of Bajaj Auto’s Intra City Business Unit, said, “The launch of the all-electric Bajaj GoGo range of three wheelers will set new benchmarks for this segment. With a certified range of up to 251 kms, segment-first features and the trusted Bajaj reliability and service, Bajaj GoGo will provide a comprehensive solution to customers looking to maximise earnings and minimise hassle of downtime and maintenance.”
Bajaj GoGo will encompass electric autos for both passenger and cargo use, with cargo models planned for release in the coming months, the company confirmed.
The Bajaj GoGo lineup features a two-speed automated transmission, a first in the industry, improving range and gradability, alongside Auto Hazard, Anti-Roll Detection, LED lights, and Hill Hold assist, as outlined in the product specifications.
The models—P5009, P5012, and P7012—indicate passenger use (‘P’), size (‘50’ or ‘70’), and battery capacity (9 kWh or 12 kWh), per Bajaj Auto’s nomenclature explanation. A 5-year battery warranty comes standard, while an optional ‘Premium TecPac’ includes remote immobilisation and reverse assist.
For Q3 FY25 (October-December), Bajaj Auto reporteda revenue of ₹12,807 crore, a 6% increase from the previous year, an EBITDA of ₹2,581 crore with a 20.2% margin, and a profit after tax of ₹2,109 crore, based on its financial statement.
The company sold 1,25,000 three-wheelers, including 17,000 electric vehicles, a record high as per sales figures, lifting its EV market share in the segment to 35% from 13% a year earlier.
In 2024, Bajaj Auto sold 4,38,941 three-wheelers, leading the market ahead of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (93,731 units) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (76,450 units), according to Vahan data. The same data shows 12.21 lakh three-wheelers sold industry-wide in 2024, with electric models accounting for 56% (6,91,323 units).
Bajaj Auto, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, and YC Electric were the top three producers in this category. The company also expanded its three-wheeler dealership network from 600 to 850 locations, as reported in its network update.
