Earlier on July 15, Tesla officially entered the Indian market with the opening of its first ‘experience centre’ showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. The 4,000-square-foot facility is located in the upscale Maker Maxity Mall.
In Delhi, the electric car manufacturer rented a commercial space in Aerocity, leasing 8,200 square feet for a monthly rent of ₹ 17.22 lakh, real estate data analytics firm CRE Matrix reported.
The company began accepting bookings via its website, with priority delivery planned for four key cities: Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Gurugram.
The Model Y is offered in two configurations: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and long-range all-wheel drive (AWD). The RWD variant is priced at ₹ 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the AWD variant costs ₹ 67.89 lakh. The on-road price in Mumbai might go up to ₹ 69.15 lakh.
Earlier this month, the first delivery of a Tesla Model Y was made to Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.
Sarnaik announced that he bought the car to promote green mobility and raise awareness among the citizens.
