Hero MotoCorp reported overall sales of 3,88,068 units in February, according to an exchange filing. The figure is 20% lower than the 4,68,410 units it sold in February 2024 and also below Nomura’s expectations of 4.4 lakh units.
The company’s domestic sales also fell 20% from February last year to 3,57,296 units. While Motorcycle sales stood at 3,52,312 units, Scooter Sales were higher than last year at 35,756 units.
Hero’s exports grew by 33% on a year-on-year basis to 30,772 units. This is the third straight month of exports crossing 30,000 units. In financial year 2025 so far, Hero has exported 2,47,911 units so far.
VIDA, Hero’s Electric Vehicle brand saw dispatches of 6,200 units. Hero said in its statement that it anticipates the sales momentum to increase in the coming months, due to the upcoming marriage season and new product launches.
Hero has already begun the deliveries of the Destini 125 variant across the country and dispatches of Xoom 125 will also commence soon, according to the statement.
Shares of Hero MotoCorp ended at a 52-week low on Friday, ending 1.5% lower at ₹3,704. The stock has corrected 41% from its all-time high level of ₹6,246. The stock is down 11.5% so far in the first two months of the year.
