Mahindra’s February vehicle production crosses 81,000 units, exports double YoY

Mahindra and Mahindra, an Indian automaker, reported producing 81,302 vehicles in February 2025, an increase from 73,643 units in February 2024, according to its regulatory filing.

The company sold 80,641 units, up from 71,384 units the previous year, while exports rose from 1,539 units to 3,061 units. According to the company, these numbers include sales from subsidiaries Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd. and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd.

Passenger Vehicles

The Thar and Thar Roxx models saw production rise from 5,120 units in February 2024 to 5,737 units in February 2025, with sales growing from 5,882 units to 6,615 units and no exports recorded. KUV100 petrol production dropped from 190 units to 53 units, with no sales and 156 units exported.

For the XUV3XO and XUV400 diesel and electric variants, production increased from 1,517 units to 2,047 units, and sales went from 1,507 units to 2,063 units, with no exports. The XUV3XO petrol model’s production jumped from 57 units to 709 units, with no sales and 1,101 units exported.

XUV300 diesel production fell sharply from 1,524 units to 28 units, while sales reached 1,475 units with no exports. XUV300 petrol production declined from 2,417 units to 98 units, with sales at 1,846 units and exports at 7 units. Bolero production decreased from 9,700 units to 7,599 units, but sales rose from 10,113 units to 8,690 units, and exports grew from 5 units to 6 units. Marazzo production increased from 125 units to 186 units, with sales at 51 units.

Scorpio diesel production dropped from 13,512 units to 12,658 units, yet sales rose from 13,691 units to 12,601 units, and exports increased from 31 units to 91 units. Scorpio petrol production fell from 1,132 units to 893 units, with sales at 1,360 units. XUV700 production decreased from 6,667 units to 6,515 units, while sales climbed from 4,469 units to 5,560 units, and exports started at 729 units.

Electric Vehicles

The BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs recorded production of 3,071 units and sales of 3,196 units, with no exports. The e-Alfa Mini saw production rise from 41 units to 177 units, though sales fell from 643 units to 271 units. Treo Yaari production dropped from 218 units to 10 units, with sales at 302 units. The e-Alfa Cargo’s production decreased from 247 units to 97 units, and sales fell from 213 units to 65 units, with no exports.

Commercial Vehicles

Commercial vehicle production declined from 24,103 units to 22,545 units, but sales increased from 22,825 units to 23,826 units, and exports grew from 919 units to 1,083 units.

3-Wheelers

Alfa diesel production fell from 177 units to 130 units, with sales dropping from 210 units to 84 units and exports at 24 units. Alfa CNG production decreased from 93 units to 59 units, with sales at 153 units. Treo electric production surged from 2,609 units to 5,409 units, and sales rose from 2,915 units to 4,567 units.

Treo diesel production dropped from 292 units to 89 units, with sales at 327 units. Treo electric production increased from 136 units to 411 units, though sales fell from 123 units to 84 units. Alfa CNG production decreased from 149 units to 122 units, with sales at 352 units. Zor Grand electric production fell from 1,281 units to 1,150 units, while sales held steady at 489 units.

Shares of M&M ended at ₹2,728.10, down by ₹14.30, or 0.52%, on the NSE.
