TVS HLX crosses 4 million global sales, expands presence in 57 countries

TVS Motor Company (TVSM), on Tuesday, announced that its TVS HLX series has reached 4 million global sales. First launched in Africa in 2013, the HLX is now available in 57 countries across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

The HLX series achieved its first million sales by mid-2019. The last million units were sold in the past 24 months, reflecting its rising global popularity. It is widely used for commuting, motorcycle taxis, and delivery services.

Rahul Nayak, Vice President, International Business, TVS Motor Company, in a company statement, said, “Reaching 4 million sales shows the trust customers have in TVS HLX.”

The HLX series is recognised for its reliable engine, fuel efficiency, and low maintenance costs. TVS has introduced updates such as induction-hardened forks, alloy wheels, flexible turn signal lamps, extended seats, large carriers, telematics, tubeless tyres, and USB charging ports to meet market needs.

Nayak added “It serves as a dependable mobility partner, supported by after-sales service, genuine spare parts, and a network of trained technicians. Finance options are also available to ease ownership.”

TVS claims that it has adapted the HLX to suit different markets, including larger seats and higher load capacity for African users. Additional features like LED headlights, disc brakes, semi-digital speedometers, IOC technology, anti-theft mechanisms, and improved suspension have been added. The HLX also comes with an extended warranty in various regions.

The HLX range has grown from the HLX Plus to include the HLX 125 4G, HLX 125 5G, HLX 150, and HLX 150X. Recent additions, such as the HLX 150 DISC and HLX 150 F, address the increasing demand for delivery and commuting solutions.
